After I booked a hostel in Perth I realized that there a a lot of horrible reviews about it. I was totally schocked, cancelled my stay there immediately and started my research for another residence. I really didn't want to see yellowed pillows, mouldy odour and rooms without even one window. After a few clicks I found the "Western Beach Lodge". I texted Mark, the owner of the hostel. He was fast responding and gave me a good and welcome feeling to move in.
The "Western Beach Lodge" is a small and cute hostel in a beach suburb of Perth called Scarborough. And because I really enjoyed my stay there I'm pleased to introduce it to you guys. I really liked the atmosphere, the people there and additionally the hostel was really clean. The location is near to the beach – just a 10 minutes walk – and on the way you can find a supermarket and different restaurants. I'm really thankful for my stay there and happy to recommend this familiar and comfy hostel to you. Thanks for having me.
The beach is nearby, just a 10 minutes walk and on the way there is a supermarket. The bus stop is 2 minutes away and it is possible to get bikes and surfboards for free at the hostel. There is also a shopping mall – just a 15 minutes ride with the bike.

HOW TO GET THERE
Catch the 380 or 40 bus from the airport to the city and the 990 to Scarborough getting off at Westborough Street.
The comfy BBQ-area and surfboards you can rent at the hostel.
There are different kind of rooms like dorms with up to 6 people, but also 4 or 2 bed dorms. For the 6 bedroom dorm I paid 30 AUD (about 19 Euro) per night.
The outside areas where you can easily meet the other guests of the hostel and chat with them.
I stayed there during christmas time and enjoyed having warm christmas for the first time.
